The island of Euboea offers the visitor an amazing combination of sea and mountains. Through its network of provincial mountain roads, has been characterized as a riding paradise. This daily tour starts from the harbor of Marmari and covers the south parts of the island. Through picturesque routes and selected stops in beautiful locations and sights we will get to know this part of Euboea. This tour continues to Chalkida, the capital of Euboea, with its “Crazy Waters”, for a coffee-brake before we return to Athens.

Points of Interest

Marmari: Picturesque small harbor used from antiquity, for the transportation of marble and Karystos stone which were mined from the surrounding area.
Drakospita (Dragon-houses): Specially “constructed” from stone plates without a connecting material between them. There are many interpretations regarding their purpose (farm-houses, military outposts, temples), without any of them being dominant.
Agia Kyriaki – Kampia: This church is built on a beautiful location among plane trees and running waters. Part of it is in a natural cave. The surrounding area is paved with local gray stone and a small bridge has been built over the creek. Natural springs create small
Twin Towers – Mytikas: These unusual tower are located on the Lelandian field in Central Euboea and have “connected” their presence with a knight in-love.
