TERRAIN: National motorways, provincial paved roads, mild gravel roads
ROUTE LEVEL: Level 4 | 5 (route grading level table) Experience in provincial and gravel paved roads, with tights bends.
DRIVING: 6 – 8 hours per day (including time for refueling, stops for lunch and beverages, sightseeing)

1 Day: 245 km
Athens to Ellinikon via provincial roads.
We will visit the unique church of saint Fotini in Ancient Madinia as well as the wonderful Kapsia Caves prior to arriving at our hotel.

2 Day: 187 km
Cyclical tour of Elliniko.
We will visit the Monastery of Saint Prodromos, the open air water power museum and Ancient Olympia. After our scenic route we will return via the picturesque village of Stemnitsa to our hotel in Ellinikon.

3 Day: 120 km
Departure from Elliniko towards Karitaina with its wonderful Castle and then via Andritsaina we will go to the temple of Apollo. We will then drive towards the Neda river and its wonderful waterfalls (an amazing opportunity for some river swimming!). We will depart after our short break for Kiparissia, where we will stay for the night.

4 Day: 350 km
We will travel to Pilos, see one of the most amazing beaches of Voidokilia and then via Methoni and its unique castle we will cross to Laconia before we reach the Diros Caves. A unique and definitely impressive cave complex which is toured via boats! After the Diros caves we will visit the southernmost point in mainland Europe: Cape Tenaro and its majestic lighthouse. We will see the surrounding area which is full of mythology i.e. the necromantion of Poseidon, as well as one of the gates of Hades where it is believed that Hercules completed his 12th Labor by extracting Cerberus from the underworld.

After all these, we will go to our hotel in Gythion region.

5 Day: 420 km
We will start our return via visiting the medieval town of Monemvasia before departing via an exquisite mountainous terrain to Sparta and the ancient castle town of Mystras where Constantine Paleologos sworn as Emperor of the Byzantine Empire. Upon our visit to the site we will begin our return to Athens via national motorway.
