FAQ for Rentals

01. What are the age requirement for scooter and/or motorcycle rental?

Minimum age limit for categories 1 to 4 is 23 years old; for categories 5 to 10 it is 25 years old.

02. What about the driver’s license?

The driver must hold an EU or international license for driving the respective category of motorcycle. The license must be valid and must have been issued in the country of residence of the renter at least one year prior to the date of rental. EU-type driver’s licenses of nationals from intra-Schengen countries are accepted. A valid international motorcycle driver’s license is required from nationals of extra-Schengen countries, which must have been issued at least a year prior to the date of rental.

03. What if I do not possess personal equipment?

ANDELI ® Mototouring™ will provide during the rental period an approved helmet (size upon availability).  Should a client wishes to have a motorcycle jacket, pants, knee protectors, rain gear etc. it is advisable to contact us in advance for availability.

04. What is the minimum duration of rental?

Minimum duration of rental is one day (24 hours). For any delay exceeding 2 hours, anadditional day of rental will be charged.

05. Is there a motorcycle insurance coverage?

It only applies to categories 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. All motorcycles are equipped with a handlebar lock and an additional safety lock. Theft insurance does not apply to small two-wheeled vehicles (semi-automatic or scooters) of categories 1, 2, 3 and 4.  In case of theft, the renter must immediately notify ANDELI ® Mototouring™ and, following contact with us, he/she will have to go to the closest police station, inform the duty officer about the incident and fill in the appropriate form.

06. What about fuel?

The renter must strictly observe the technical specifications of the rented motorcycle, and fill the tank with the specified fuel type. All scooters and motorcycles are equipped with four-stroke engines and work with unleaded 95, 98 or 100 octane gasoline. Fuel cost is borne exclusively by the renter. The renter must return the motorcycle with the fuel tank filled to the same level as when the vehicle was delivered. Failing to do so, he/she will be charged with the amount for the extra fuel used.

07. Is a guarantee deposit required for motorcycle rental?

Yes, there is: for categories 1, 2, 3 and 4, the minimum guarantee limit is € 100,00 in cash or by credit card (Visa, MasterCard); for categories 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10, motorcycle rental is permitted ONLY with payment in cash or by credit card of a guarantee of 500,00€ to 1.000,00€ . In both cases, if there is not any damage to the rented motorcycle, the guarantee is returned and deducted from the remaining rental amount.

08. Which are the methods of advance / final payment?

Payment for the rental of scooters or motorcycles is made in cash or by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, with an extra 3% bank commission) or by direct deposit to our bank account.

09. Is delivery of a motorcycles made to destinations other than the company station?

All deliveries and returns are madeonly to our station within working hours. Deliveries – returns other than to our station and outsideworking hours are accepted upon prior agreement and at an extra charge.

10. If, in the end, I am unable to come to Greece, what happens with the advance payment?

  • Reservations: For the reservation of a scooter or a motorcycle an advance payment of 30% of the rental price is required in cash or by credit card (Visa, AMEX, MasterCard, etc).
  • Cancelations:In case of cancelation of a reservation, the advance payment is not refunded.

11. If I commit a traffic violation, do I have to pay the fine?

For traffic violations, all fines and administrative penalties are borne by the renter. Contact us to arrange the payment through our office or directly to the respective state authority.
